I went to the drive-ins last night and saw Up, then Transformers. (I also finished off a bag of Twizzlers- yum!) Each of the movies completely surprised me:
Up was AMAZING. Just wanna say. Not only was the animation wonderful, but the plot was driven by the characters (my favorite type of movie) and the characters were great. I love Doug the dog! "I hid under your porch because I love you and you are my master. *doggy eyes*" Aaaww I just wanna hug him!
so, many hearts for Up. I'm thinking about buying a copy. ^^
Transformers, on the other hand... not so good. Actually, on the good to bad scale: pretty sucky. Sure it was jam packed with special effects, but I just hate how they try to avoid the stereotypical by merely reversing it. Dumb. And huge robots fighting is great an all, but it seriously ate away at any chance of an interesting plot line. hence, the END OF THE WORLD will come if you don't defeat the EVIL guy in charge and tell your girlfriend you love her. Then they leave a loose end for another sequel. Not even a subtle loose end, but instead, a "this isn't over." statement done in the wanna-be-epic movie voice. The only thing going for this movie is the undeniably awesome special effects.
Sorry to break out into my inner critic there. I tried to suppress it. After I had seen that I had written a whole textbox+ of anti-Transformer junk, I deleted eighty percent of it so you didn't have to read. XD
And I have found my stylus!
Huzzah!
As for the S.C. members: I am working on the next chapter. After I got home from the drive-ins, I typed until four in the morning, when I fell asleep, waking up later just in time to prevent myself from drooling on my keyboard. ^^
I do have a few details that I have to work out before it can be finished, however.
As before:
And since it's summer fun time, just would like to let everyone know that I'm open to requests (for pretty much anything excluding things that would make me cringe to draw, like Edward Cullen with many hearts around his stupid bloated head) and I'd love to do a collab or art trade. ^^
(and I was kidding about the Edward thing- I'd draw it if you reallllly wanted me to. But he's a creeper)
How are you?

Smile, and the world will smile with you. Laugh and they'll all think you're on drugs.
